Florida Surgeon Describes the Three Most Dangerous Trends in Cosmetic Gynecology

There are three dangerous trends in cosmetic gynecology today:

  • - A low cost may mean that the doctor is skipping some important steps.
  • - Be careful when it comes to your private areas.
  • • One-stop shop
  • - Some plastic surgeons will offer vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty alongside face lifts, breast enhancement, Botox, and other procedures.
  • - But, these generalists often don’t have much training in such specialized procedures.


When choosing a cosmetic gynecologist, look for the following:

  • • Experience. How many surgical, gynecological, and cosmetic gynecological procedures has the doctor performed? How long have they been practicing and what is their reputation?
  • • Advanced training: Look for specific vaginal rejuvenation training – especially advanced training with leaders in the field.
  • • Multiple methods: Look for a specialist who will design a procedure specifically for you, using a variety of methods and techniques.
  • • Photos: Check the Web site’s picture gallery and evaluate the quality of the doctor’s work.
  • • Testimonials: Find out what the doctor’s patients and colleagues are saying.
