Singapore urges the small and medium-scale enterprises to increase their productivity level by embracing innovation and automation and training of workers.

There are many programs implemented by the government that could also benefit companies owned by foreign investors. Thus, it is not a wonder why entrepreneurs prize Singapore as the best investment destination. Singapore protects the welfare or turnout of its investors, local and foreign.

Asiabiz has been established to assist foreign investors as they flock to Singapore to do business. While laws in the city-state allow foreign nationals to own all the shares of stocks in a company and run it on their own, they cannot personally participate in the incorporation procedure.

Incorporating a company is easiest in Singapore as long as the requirements are ready,” quips Asiabiz’s business consultant, “the procedure can be done while they stay abroad.”

The eligibility requirements include not being an un-discharged bankrupt, and must be of legal age and capacity by the time they agree to constitute a company.

“Specifically, a resident director maintains a local residence. But because of the policy that opens such opportunity to foreign nationals, the foreign investors themselves can be appointed as the resident director after securing an Employment pass,” elucidates Asiabiz.

Besides the resident director, there ought to be at least one shareholder and a company secretary. An instrument containing the personal details of these three individuals is the Memorandum and Articles of Association.

“Generally, only companies can apply for an Employment pass for their staff. For the incorporation procedure to take place, the three individuals should be present. Now, if they are all foreigners, the best solution to employ is to engage the nominee services of a professional firm like us,” chimes Asiabiz.

Asiabiz provides nominee director service to complete the requirements. It can also act as the company secretary owing to its being a practicing member of SAICSA. After incorporation, Asiabiz shall process the application of a work visa, and thereafter, transfer the directorship to the appointee.

Many companies decide to retain the chartered secretaryship of Asiabiz after the incorporation.
