April 27, 2010 – Fort Worth, TX – Professionals in the fields of fraud prevention, detection and prosecution face a constant influx of new information about the white collar criminals that they pursue. Analyzing and applying that information quickly and effectively enough to be useful to current and on-going cases can be a challenge. The Association of Certified Fraud Specialists’ (ACFS) will address those challenges at the Regional Fraud Conference in Fort Worth of May 3rd and 4th at the Marriot. The conference aims to equip auditors, forensic accountants, investigators and attorneys throughout the region with concrete strategies that can be applied for immediate use on the job.

“We’re bringing in fraud experts and specialists from across the country to focus on providing professionals in the region with practical and proven tips and techniques geared towards current and emerging issues in the field,” says ACFS President, Charles Raborn.

Hundreds of anti-fraud professionals are expected to gather for the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and learn about current best tactics and new developments. The topics range emerging national and global trends, computer crimes, financial investigations, health care fraud and forensic auditing.

“Our goal is to assist fraud professionals to achieve greater levels of understanding on critical issues,” says Raborn.

The conference is co-hosted by Texas’ Office of the Attorney General & Texas’ Health and Human Services Commission Office of the Inspector General and is endorsed by the Mobile County (Alabama) Sherriff’s office.
