Join the largest Pro-Life rally of 2010 in Houston

Houston, We Have a Problem. Large abortion mill coming to H-Town!

by Impact Wire Tuesday, January 12, 2010
From Texas Right to Life: On January 17th and 18th, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s holiday, thousands are joining local pro-life organizations in Houston, Texas to protest the largest abortion clinic in the United States. Minority, religious, and political leaders will join “The Call in crisis Gathering.” Lou Engle from The Call and several high profile national figures will lead the two-day event.

Planned Parenthood is in the process of building the second largest abortion clinic in the world in Houston. The six-story, 78,000 square foot building will include a surgical floor equipped to provide late-term abortions. Planned Parenthood continues to target low-income, minority families and has strategically located the new clinic in the middle of Hispanic and African-American neighborhoods and directly across the street from the University of Houston.

Lou Engle, founder of the Pro-Life organization, The Call to Conscience, and organizer of the “The Call in crisis Gathering,” recently spoke in Houston to a group of Pro-Life advocates and local religious leaders, describing the clinic as “an abortion super center.” He urged participation in and support for the upcoming gathering. In the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., Engle seeks to expose the truth about the new Planned Parenthood clinic and the horrific number of abortions that will be committed there.

Martin Luther King, Jr. proclaimed the powerful words, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Sadly, the abortion industry judges by skin color; over 47% of all blacks are aborted. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Pro-Life advocate, stated, “If the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is to live, our babies must live. Our mothers must choose life.”

Following the prayer vigil on Sunday evening, Pro-Life advocates and religious leaders will unite again on Monday morning to march in silent prayer to the new building site. After the march, Engle will hold a nationwide press conference to call others around the country to join the fight against the new abortion super center. Those expected to lead the rally alongside Engle include Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council; Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference; Bishop Harry Jackson, senior pastor of Hope Christian Church; Richard Land, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention; and Abby Johnson, former director of the Planned Parenthood in Bryan, Texas.

Please join this peaceful Prayer Rally and Justice March as we pray for an end to abortion, and publicly oppose and expose the huge expansion of Planned Parenthood in Houston. For more information, visit bound4life.com.
