Genocide Intervention Network. Have a hand in stopping genocide.

by Martin Barillas Friday, May 29, 2009
Genocide Intervention Network is pleased to announce that the public launch for the Conflict Risk Network (CRN) will be on Monday, June 8 (access to the second quarter Sudan Company Report and other CRN materials will be available to institutions that have already subscribed on May 31).

For those who require additional time to complete the CRN Membership Agreement, CRN is extending the deadline for Founding Members (and the introductory discount of 15%) to Friday, June 5, 2009.

CRN already has a dynamic group of Founding Members that includes some of the world's most prominent universities, public pension plans, and for-profit institutional investors and asset management firms.

As a final reminder, the following options are available for institutions that wish to continue receiving the Sudan Company Report and accompanying financial data:

1) Become a member of CRN. Along with numerous services and benefits, CRN membership is the best way to ensure unlimited (institution-wide) access to the Sudan Company Report and accompanying financial data. In addition to company report access, CRN Members receive a number of additional materials and services. These include:

Access to CRN analysts, who can assist with questions and additional research, and to bi-annual CRN analyst briefings.
Access to CRN's secure server database, which hosts all CRN material, including the Sudan Company Report. This also includes the ability to register an unlimited number of your institution's staff to access the database.

Engagement services (with opt-out abilities) with companies listed in the Sudan Company Report. On behalf of its members, CRN will encourage companies to address the risks associated with their operations and adopt standards developed to reduce risk and promote peace and stability. For Members who wish in certain cases to conduct engagement independently, CRN will provide support and engagement materials, such as template letters and company contacts.

Exposure to a network of high-net individual and institutional investors.
We have a special reduced rate for current subscribers of 15% as an introductory discount for those who join CRN before June 5, 2009. Please contact us to receive the membership fee scale and membership agreement.

2) Purchase a non-member subscription to the Sudan Company Report. Non-member subscribers must designate a single user, who will receive company reports and financial data spreadsheets by email. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a non-member subscription.

3) Apply for fee-waiver. Fee-waiver applications are currently available for public pension plans under a legislative mandate for targeted Sudan divestment. The fee waiver covers a non-member subscription to the Sudan Company Report but may be applied to the cost of full membership. Please contact us if you wish to apply for a fee-waiver.

If you do not represent an institution using the Sudan Company Report, feel that you should be eligible for a fee-waiver, or would like more information on CRN, please contact us.
