In its twenty-sixth year, Virginia's largest homeschool convention, presented by Home Educators Association of Virginia (H.E.A.V.), is offering free admission to qualifying parents of preschoolers as they consider how to give their child the best education possible. Parents will have the opportunity to choose from more than 119 workshops offered at the convention, including sessions on getting started, choosing curriculum, the Virginia homeschool law, teaching preschoolers at home, working with special needs children, and more. They can also visit more than 300 booths filled with many of the best educational resources from around the country—colorful books, games, puzzles, experiments, hands-on learning materials, curricula, and much more.

“This will provide a unique opportunity for parents to learn about home education and to see if it's the right fit for their family,” said HEAV President Anne Miller. “Even if parents are not sure about homeschooling, they should come and explore the educational resources available.”

For FREE “Parents of Preschooler” admission, the eldest child in the family must be under five years of age, and this must be the parent’s first time attending the convention. Details and a registration form are available at www.heav.org/convention/registration/preschool.html.

ALL interested parents can attend our FREE how-to-begin workshops on Thursday, June 11. The free sessions include an introduction to homeschooling, information on how to get started, an overview of the laws and requirements for homeschooling, and guidance on choosing curriculum.
