ALBANY, GEORGIA-- Albany Orthodontist Dr. Dallas Margeson recently celebrated the 16th anniversary of his Albany, GA orthodontics practice.

Margeson reached the milestone in August.

“We’ve been perfecting smiles in Albany for many years now, and we look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come,” Margeson said. “My staff and I love what we do, and it has been incredibly rewarding over the years to achieve such amazing results for our patients.”

Much has changed in the field since the Albany, GA Invisalign provider entered private practice, Margeson said. The office went paperless by converting to electronic medical records and it converted from traditional to digital X-ray technology several years ago.

“That was a great advancement,” Margeson said, adding the office went from an X-ray method that used messy chemicals which had to be disposed of properly, to a system that provides instant images and can be displayed on computer screens for patients to view.

Margeson also is progressive in his vision and uses passive self-ligating braces, which straighten teeth and deliver outstanding smiles. The bracket system is available in clear, as well as metal.

Technological advancements have paved the way for the South Georgia orthodontics practice to offer computer-based appointment reminders for patients through TeleVox. The website also allows patients to fill out their paperwork prior to their first appointment, make and/or change appointments, make payments and learn more about the office and its eight full-time employees. Dr. Margeson’s practice is also on Facebook.

The Albany native graduated from Deerfield-Windsor High School in 1982 and after studying at the University of Georgia, he attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and earned his D.M.D. in 1991.

Margeson completed his orthodontic residency at the MCG School of Dentistry and also earned a master’s degree in oral biology, as well as a certificate in orthodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and is the immediate past president of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists.

He is a part-time associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, and occasionally lectures to the orthodontic residents there.

Margeson, his wife, Nancy, and their two teenage children reside in Albany.
