Hyatt Regency Chennai Slated to Open in May 2011

Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, a worldwide branded chain of hotels has announced that Hyatt affiliates have signed management agreements for nine new Hyatt-branded hotels across India that will bring the total number of Hyatt Hotels along with the ones under development to 38.
"Focusing on building a broad and strong portfolio of properties in the emerging markets is a key element of our strategy. It is almost 30 years since the first Hyatt hotel opened in India so travellers from the Middle East region benefit from our strong heritage in the country in addition to convenient travel routes from key airports in the region”, said Thierry Bertin, Vice President Worldwide Sales - South West Asia of Hyatt International.
Moreover, among all the three hotels to open in India, Hyatt Regency Chennai is slated to open in May 2011. This Luxury Chennai Hotel will be Hyatt's first foray into South India. It will be a premier business Hotel in Chennai with 325 guestrooms and suites. The hotel soon to be operational located in Chennai's central business district, on the main arterial road, Anna Salai.
